DIVERGENTS.XYZ

Privacy, in plain language.

This policy explains how Divergents.xyz and the Divergents suite handle information across our websites, screening experiences, and neurodivergent-support tools.

Effective August 31, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to Divergents.xyz and any Divergents website, application, or service that links to it (together, the “Services”). “Divergents,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team operating those Services.

A particular tool may provide an additional notice when it handles information in a way that is specific to that tool. That additional notice supplements this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you choose to provide

  • Messages and contact information when you email us or request support.
  • Answers, preferences, prompts, reflections, voice input, or other content you intentionally submit to a Divergents tool.
  • Account details if a Service offers optional accounts.

Information created through use of the Services

  • Basic technical and security logs, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, dates, times, and error information.
  • Local preferences stored on your device. For example, the Brain Runner stores your reduced-motion preference in browser storage.
  • Usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve a Service.

Some information you submit may concern attention, neurodivergence, wellness, or health. We treat that information as sensitive and aim to collect only what a feature needs.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, maintain, and secure the Services.
  • Return results, recommendations, prompts, or other features you request.
  • Respond to questions, support requests, and feedback.
  • Diagnose errors and understand performance using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
  • Meet legal obligations and protect people’s rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use sensitive neurodivergence or health-related information for targeted advertising.

4. When information may be shared

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

  • Service providers that host, secure, support, or process features for us, subject to appropriate restrictions.
  • A third party you direct us to interact with or when you give consent.
  • Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse.
  • A successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to this policy or notice of materially different practices.

Links to independent websites are governed by their own privacy practices.

5. Cookies and local storage

Divergents.xyz may use strictly necessary cookies or browser storage to remember preferences, maintain security, and make features work. The current Brain Runner does not use advertising cookies. If a Service introduces analytics or optional cookies, it will provide appropriate notice and controls.

6. Retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, to provide the Services, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by the type of information and Service.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security, so please do not submit information a feature does not request.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to or limit certain uses. You may also have a right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

We do not sell personal information. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide any legally required opt-out method, including recognition of applicable browser-based preference signals.

To make a request, email hello@divergents.xyz. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

8. Health information and medical care

Divergents tools are not a substitute for a licensed clinician, emergency service, or professional medical advice. Unless a particular Service expressly says otherwise, Divergents is not acting as a healthcare provider or health plan, and information submitted to the Services may not be protected by HIPAA.

If a feature is subject to a specific health-privacy law, we will provide any additional notice and protections that law requires.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally valid permission. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Services and applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@divergents.xyz.
